You people are cowards, traitors to your country. Have you ever been to a war, I have and it is terrible, but living the hell that the terrist want is un acceptable. Yes I know you think our police department should take care of it. Which one, you idiot. Freedom and liberty are not free,n it is paid for in blood and treasure. You like it here, but you will not help your country. You want to tear it down. One more thing, you better not tell me your garbage to my face, you will not like the results. Oh, I am a combat Marine, almost 4 years in Viet Nam, we did not lose that one, you did, maggot. Your site is wrong, the Islamo facist did it with your help. Yes, they hear you and laugh at you, and then they do more so you can blame us. NO WAR CRIMES HERE, it is in your peabrain mind.

Your message tells me far more about your emotional state than your delusions about terrorism. I will hazard a guess you are unaware of the following:

I am a Canadian citizen. Canada in an independent country. I have zero obligation to get involved in your country’s foolish wars.
There is nothing brave about killing children. Most of America’s victims in Iraq and Afghanistan are children. Cowardly sadists such as yourself get their jollies killing children.
Bush and friends were complicit in 9/11. There were no Iraq or Afghan citizens involved, even if you believe Bush’s conspiracy theory. Bush claims they were Saudis, even though many of the supposed suicide hijackers later showed up alive in London.

Like Hitler, you lump all Arabs and Muslims together. You believe it makes sense to kill any random Muslim for the crime of any of the other 1.6 billion Muslims. This is a racist notion.
America attacked both Iraq and Afghanistan unprovoked. American soldiers killed millions of civilians. That makes you Americans the terrorists. Further it makes you war criminals. Waging aggressive war is the only crime used to hang all the Nazi war criminals.
You too are a stupid dumb-ass cowardly war criminal. You killed innocent people in Viet Nam who were no threat to the USA. As a war criminal, guilty of the exact same crime used to hang all the Nazis, you deserve to hang. You went along with the slaughter with the mindless intensity of a lemming. You did not think. You were just too horny to kill someone, anyone, for any reason.
Only police work, including undercover infiltration, has proven to successfully prevent terrorist attacks, not military invasion of random countries.
Terrorist recruitment is much higher today that before Bush started his atrocities such as torture and banned weapons including white phosphorus, napalm and cluster bombs whose sole purpose is to make death more painful.

Both Viet Nam and Iraq fought America into a quagmire standstill for the simple reason the American soldiers had no reason to fight other than the pleasure of killing, and their victims were fighting for their lives, their freedom and their independence.
Of all the people Bush arrested without charges or trials and tortured in prison, nearly all turned out to be innocent.

Carr is a conservative military historian. He never once questions the need for war. He believes it is utterly inevitable. He completely fails to notice the success of the European Union at ending centuries of non-stop warfare within Europe. He completely swallows the Bush party line about what happened on 9/11, the Gulf War, the necessity of the war on terror, and the right of American to wage war on anyone it pleases, including pre-emptive wars on those it things might cause trouble in future. However, he makes a number of main points:

Terrorism, killing civilians to try to change their political allegiances never works, at least not in the long run. He uses examples all though history starting with the Roman Empire. It fails because it is a waste of time and materials as far an military objectives go. Further it unifies the victims with a desire for revenge that inevitably springs forth at the first opportunity, even if generations later. Terrorism is an emotional indulgence, motivated by revenge and sadism, not by any practical progression of war toward victory.
It is dangerous to use mercenaries. As soon as you discard them, they often turn on you using the very training and materials you furnished them with.
The CIA should be abolished. It overlaps other agencies. It is not accountable. Its main method of action in terrorism, which always backfires. It has done nothing but give the USA a black eye. It has failed time and time again to provide crucial intelligence.
You must treat terrorists as if there were an army, not as if they were civilian criminals.
