Ordinary citizens suspected of a crime get no say in who prosecutes them. It would be a crime if they tried to influence that choice.
Trump has chosen his own prosecutor twice, first Comey then Mueller. He is threatening to do it yet again. This is the sort of thing that happens in a dictatorship. The US system is so partisan, the Republicans refuse to discipline Trump no matter how outrageous his behaviour. It is so corrupt.
Trump does not understand the independence of the judiciary. He imagines himself king who can have anyone he wants prosecuted for imaginary crimes (e.g. Hillary) or set free (Flynn) if he so chooses.~ Roedy (1948-02-04 age:70)
