Patton’s Observation

I’d rather have a German division in front of me, than a French one behind.

~ George S. Patton (1885-11-11 1945-12-21 age:60), General

This shows the anti-French bigotry goes back even before freedom fries. The Americans forget they would be a part of Canada were not for the French helping defeat the British in their battle for independence. They conveniently forget the British had 66 ships, the French had 52 and the Americans 0. France endured a billion livre deficit to help the Americans, which badly hurt their economy. Today’s Americans are embarrassingly rude and ungrateful.
