Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California, called for withdrawing existing civil rights from gays, making them second class citizens. She then characterised any criticism of her religiously-motivated bigoted views as a “denial of her constitutional right of free speech”. She seems to think freedom of speech means the right to suppress others’ criticism. Does she not realise that had she made similar controversial remarks advocating the withdrawal of civil rights from blacks or women, she would simlilarly have been deluged with virtual vegetables? The woman is too vacuous to realise she is a bigot.
