partition manager : Computer Hardware Buyers’ Glossary

A utility that helps you manipulate partitions, e.g. add, delete, grow, shrink, copy. It would normally be combined with a boot manager, that decides which OS (Operating System) should start at boot time. Pretty well any partition manager would include a boot manager, but there are lots of boot managers that do not include a partition manager. I use one called Boot-It Bare Metal.
