Most computer speakers sound pretty tinny. To get decent ones you have to spend money just the way you would on a home stereo speakers. Consider getting a sound card that hooks up to your home stereo to get good quality sound. The other way to get good sound is to use digital speakers and a digital surround sound card.

Speakers may be attached to your computer, via WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) Ethernet, attached to your stereo amp, or may be part of a home theatre system. They may be stereo (2 channel), 5.1 or 7.1 channel. Home theatre systems use 1000 to 1300 watts. This costs more than running an electric kettle non-stop. Expect a big jump in your electric bill if you get one. One evening of use will cost you about $0.70.
