Intent of the Law

It is amazing how lawyers and judges find ways to circumvent the intent of the law. For example, police can’t demand a DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) sample from someone without a warrant, but they can trick a person into providing one. Police cannot search a home without a warrant, but they can search the garbage from that home.
