A biography of George W. Bush. To my astonishment, it is scripted as if by W’s lawyers to put him in the best possible light. It leaves out all the most damning events of his life. There is nothing about the rapes. There is nothing about 2001-09-11. There is nothing about Joe Wilson. There is nothing about Judge Hellerstein. Why? Perhaps Stone was bought off, was threatened, feared legal action…? It is as soggy as a marshmallow soaked in gin. If you like your religion syrupy, e.g. Touched By an Angel, this movie will appeal.
