attractiveness : Gay & Black Glossary

I am stuck in the 60s. What was attractive then, is still attractive to me now. What is considered attractive now I find revolting. I wonder if the young do this to discourage old geezers like me hitting on them. For example, I find the following things quite offputting:

• tattoos, especially words, especially amateur tattoos, especially random tattoos that were not designed to fit together. What posesses people to permanently mark their bodies with tattoos that will soon fade, go out style and sag.
• Multiple piercings.
• Shaving off head hair.
• Colouring just a daub of hair with some unnatural colour like green or purple.
• Big bushy beards like Muslim terrorists.
• Wearing elaborately shaped beards like some sort of topiary.
• Wearing women’s clothes.
• Wearing eye makeup or face makeup.
• Wearing nail polish.
• Plucking the eyebrows into unnatural shapes.

It is odd seeing very handsome people go to great lengths and expense to make themselves ugly. But of course, they are not in the least interested in pleasing me and there is no reason they should. I just find it odd that anyone could find such distortions of the human form appealing.
