I am Glad I am Not A Christian

I am so glad I am not a Christian and never was.

• Like everyone, I have death as a sword of Damocles hanging over me, but as I Christian I would dread being tortured for eternity of bored to distraction for eternity. This would haunt my every waking moment. Further I would be driven to distraction thinking about my poor friends who had already died.
• I would feel so embarrassed trying explain my beliefs to others and not having a single fact to support them.
• I would feel sick about burning gay people alive without being able to give a single justification other than a book said to.
• I am glad I get to give my money where it will do some good, rather than to professional con men.
• I am glad I am allowed to study science. I don’t have to pretend to be stupid.
• I would feel like such a shit pretending the bible is inerrant when it clearly is not.
