Deterring paedophiles

The most effective way I can think of to deter paedophiles would be a public education campaign to remind paedophiles those youngsters will grow up to become lawyers, Christian fundamentalists, policemen, pro hockey players and even blackmailers. They will blame everything that goes wrong in their lives on the paedophile and will vow eternal vengeance. They will tell the details of everything that happened to anyone who will listen. Not a word the paedophile says in his defence will be believed. If the paedophile takes the long term view, he would be crazy to offend.
