Trump’s Attack on Obama

Forgotten were the elementary rules of logic, that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and that what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

Trump accused Obama of tapping his phone. However, Trump provided absolutely no evidence to back the contention. This accusation is barking mad, the emanation of a paranoid mind. However, the media treated it as legitimate. It deserved zero time other than evidence of Trump’s mental incompetence. Some even called for a congressional committee to investigate the claim.

I am appalled. A more logical reaction would be to lock Trump up in a mental hospital for observation. It is especially dismissible given Trump’s baseless birther accusations.

The most disgusting thing about Trump’s bald-faced lie without a stick of evidence is, in a poll, most Republicans believe him. Republicans are rewarding Trump for lying.
