Bing : Java Glossary

Bing is Microsoft’s search engine that competes with Google. The problem is Microsoft commandeers all your browsers to use it without your permission. If you get rid of it in your browsers, it comes right back. It displays noxious advertisements.

You have to uninstall any programs with names like Bing, Conduit, SearchProtect, Search Protect, Search Project with Start ⇒ Control Panel ⇒ Programs ⇒ Uninstall a Program.

Then you have disconnect it one more time in your various browsers as:

• The default search engine.
• The home page.
• The new tab page.
• Hit Restore at the bottom of any Bing page that ever appears.
• Ever after, refuse any Windows updates to Bing.
