driver update : Java Glossary

A service that helps you keep you device drivers up to date. Most people do not need one. You simply run windows update each day and all driver updates registered with Microsoft will be automatically installed. You can also keep your drivers up to date manually. You can visit the websites where the CDs send you originally to get drivers to see which have changed e.g. Logitech setpoint. You can also rely on a driver update service. It is very important to find a reputable service. Such services can be used to install malware either deliberately or by not taking sufficient care with the provenance of drivers they provide. I have not used such a service, so I cannot in conscience recommend one.
