quantum computing
There are now computers that take advantage of some of the weirdness of quantum mechanics. They use Q-bits whose values are quantum-indeterminate. They are not general purpose computers, but special purpose hardware designed to solve one class of problem, e.g. weather prediction or password cracking. They work on try-all-possibilities problems by being able to compute all possibilities simultaneously with quantum effects.
