Online web forms make it easy to take surveys of the opinions of the people willing to take the survey. You have to be careful with your questions not to guide the user into some choice, or you will just get the results you wanted not the truth. Further, keep in mind your results are highly biased by the fact only people who like you enough to spend time doing your survey will be represented. Most surveys ask multiple choice questions. I find it frustrating when the answer I want to give is not one of the choices. You don’t have to write you own software. You can do simple surveys free at a service like SurveyMonkey.
