I previously showed an image of a crater. The initial reports stated it was created by an Israeli bomb dropped on Beirut, as part of their ongoing aerial attacks, that incidentally killed the ex Lebanese PM, Rafik Hariri. It turns out it was a deliberate assassination by a bomb on the ground placed there by parties unknown, possibly Syrian.
Here are some results of Israelis bombing of civilians:
Everyone has heard the Jewish case for the occupation of Israel. Few have heard the Palestinian case against it. I am providing one here, though it is probably quite different from the one Palestinians would present for themselves. Since the case for Israel has been ably argued in so many other places, it would be redundant to make one here.
Unless both sides win, no agreement can be permanent.
~ President Jimmy Carter (1924-10-01 age:93) 39th president of the USA
Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves … politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves… The country is theirs because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down and in their view we want to take away from them their country. … Behind the terrorism [by the Arabs] is a movement, which though primitive is not devoid of idealism and self sacrifice.
~ David Ben Gurion (1886-10-16 1973-12-01 age:87) Prime Minister of Israel 1948— 1963, Quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky’s Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan’s Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.
Bully and Cheat
From the beginning there has been such an imbalance of power with the USA and the Israelis ganging up on the Palestinians, the temptation to bully and cheat has been irresistible. The Israelis get a deep joy out of breaking their word, just because they can get away with it. It is a way of thumbing their noses at the Palestinians. It is a way of humiliating them. It the school yard bullies writ large.
~ Roedy (1948-02-04 age:70)
We are doomed to coexist.
~ Henry Kissinger (1923-05-27 age:94)
I believe the key problem in Israel is that Jews imagine themselves 100% blameless for the conflict. It is situation similar to apartheid in South Africa. Until that changes, the blood will continue to flow. Until they get over that illusion, they will remain stuck in a heartbreaking situation. I am doing my best to break through that logjam by trying to force Zionists to see themselves through less rose coloured glasses. Israel is suffering from a revenge spiral where each side justifies its ever worsening atrocities by the atrocities of the other side. The atrocities of the Palestinians are well-publicised. I should not need to recount them here. The atrocities of the Zionists are for the most part ignored. That is what I will focus on.
World leaders figured that expelling Jews to a desert in the middle east would be the best way to deal with them. Fuelled by religious righteousness, the Jewish people believed they still had title on the land that is now called Israel and marched in with guns and took over, stealing the lands from the Palestinians who had lived there for over 1000 years.
I consider this the stupidest political decision of the 20th century. It was bound to lead to never-ending conflict. However, it is too late now to undo.
Here are some of the reasons I took this deliberately unbalanced approach:
In Israel, the Jews kill 28 Palestinians for every Jew the Palestinians kill. Or put another way, the Palestinians kill one Jew for every 28 Palestinians the Jews kill. Who then is defending and who is offending?Israel has embarked on a program of genocide of its Palestinian citizens. It is similar to the one Hitler embarked on to eliminate the Jews. Unlike the Jews who went meekly to their doom, the Palestinians have fought back. Unfortunately, about the only weapon an impoverished people have is suicide bomb, which kills primarily the relatively innocent Israeli civilians, not those orchestrating the genocide.
~ Roedy (1948-02-04 age:70)
If you would have cheered the Jews using suicide bombs in desperation against the Nazis, then surely you could understand, though not necessarily condone, the Palestinian use of suicide bombs against Jewish citizens of Israel.
Israel has decided it wants a pure Jewish state, much as the Nazis wanted a pure Aryan state. The government of Israel is using the same tactics as the Nazis namely apartheid, ghettos, restricting movement, confiscating property without compensation, lock downs, expelling and killing. Almost no news of this reaches the west and suprisingly even the average Israeli citizen hears little. All they hear are reports about the suicide bombers. The west paint the suicide bombers as crazy people usually religious fanatics, rather than as desperate people pressed into a corner with no other option of self-defence.
Israel has nationalised some 93% of the country’s lands, by appropriating land without compensation from the four million Palestinian refugees who live in exile and by confiscating the lands of the one million Palestinians who live as citizens.
If power corrupts, the reverse is also true; persecution corrupts the victims though perhaps in subtler and more tragic ways.Just as children who are abused often go on to abuse their own children in exactly the same way they were abused, the Jewish people have gone on to recreate the horrors of their own abuse at the hands of the Nazis. You would think they would be the last people on earth to behave like Nazis, but that is not how it works. If humans can’t take their fury out on their persecutors, they will take it out on someone else weak enough to persecute.
~ Arthur Koestler (1905-09-05 1983-03-03 age:77)
Just like Nazis, the Jews have convinced themselves they are justified in their persecution because of their racial superiority and because the Palestinians are a threat to them. Of course, now the Palestinians are a threat. Palestinians don’t take kindly to being evicted from their ancestral lands or genocide.
The odd things in the USA claims it wants peace in the middle east, but keeps pouring gasoline on the fire with its bias and lavish funding of the Israeli apartheid. If it wanted, it could cool things down by reducing the flow of weaponry into Israel and treating both sides with scrupulous impartiality.
Israel has militarily occupied the territories it captured in the 1967 war, thumbing its nose at he UN (United Nations) resolution demanding it withdraw. It started the war with a Pearl Harbor-style simultaneous attack on all air bases in Egypt, Syria and Jordan. Most people believe the Israeli propaganda that Egypt attacked first. Israelis keeps the Palestinians in lockdown 1/3 of the time, so that they can’t go to work, buy groceries, or get to a hospital. It has bulldozed their homes and orchards. It has suffocated the economy so that 2/3 of people cannot find work.
John Baird, the foreign affair minister of my country Canada, does not support a separate Palestinian state. This makes no sense. Canada does not usually support illegal aggressive wars like the one used to create Israel. Canada does not usually support apartheid. Canada says it is eager for peace in the region. I gather the problem is fear of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) which intimidates politicians in North America to follow its ultra-right wing policies. This is cowardly and to Canada’s eternal shame.
A pro-violence demonstrator on TV said the demonstrators who complain about civilians being killed refuse to recognise that Israel has a right to defend it itself and that they are supporting a terrorist organisation.
That sentence shows this person is seriously deluded about people who want to stop the violence in Gaza.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
~ Rita Mae Brown (1944-11-28 age:73) Sudden Death often misattributed to Benjamin Franklin.Persistence is great, but you must persist with something that works.
Terrorism : killing civilians with the intent of changing their political affiliation.
~ Caleb Carr (1955-08-02 age:62), military historianI would modify that definition slightly. I don’t think nuts who act completely on their own should count as terrorists. I think they need to be associated with an organisation to count as terrorists.
I was talking with Annie Machon, former Mi5 operative. She said that the bomb attack on the Israeli embassy in London was a false flag operation perpetrated by the Mossad. They framed two Palestinian activist students. The explosion did little damage, and the explosion left no forensic traces — in other words it was a highly advanced explosive, hardly the sort of thing a couple of teens would cook up in a kitchen. The motive was to pressure Britain into providing better security for the embassy and to terrify the activists in London promoting the Palestinian cause. The extreme prison sentences completely cowed all the activists who fled London and effectively stopped all pro-Palestinian advocacy. She pointed out that such false flag attacks were completely routine.
When I was a teenager, white South Africa had an apartheid system to oppress the black population. The blacks sporadically fought back with terrifying violence, such as flaming necklaces made of an old tire and gasoline. Everybody, including the media, rooted for the black underdogs.
There is a similar situation in Israel. Back in 1948, Jews from all over the world converged on Palestine, attacked and occupied it, then set up an apartheid system. In a similar way the Palestinians fought back dramatically with suicide bombing. Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land is a video explaining the Palestinian side of the conflict, made by Jewish filmmakers. It points out Israelis have killed four times as many Palestinians as the reverse. However, this time everybody, including the media, root for the Jewish overdogs. The media never report Jewish war crimes, but give front page coverage to all Palestinians war crimes. You would think from watching TV that Palestinian Muslim fanatics butcher 1000 Jews for every Palestinian the Jews accidentally kill. It is actually the reverse, the Israelis kill 28 Palestinians for every Israeli Hamas kills. Why the vast difference in our reactions to similar situations in South Africa and Israel?
There are three reasons:
We can forgive you for killing our children, but we can never forgive you for making us kill your children.
~ Golda Meir (1898-05-03 1978-12-03 age:80) Prime Minister of Israel, 1969—1974, 1973 to Egyptian President Sadat. This is insane thinking. She was obligated to protect Israeli children, but killing innocent Arab children did utterly nothing to that end; it just creates more justification to kill more Israeli children. Are Iraqis obligated to kill American children just because American soldiers have killed Iraqi children? Are you obligated to kill the family of a serial killer? That is crazy thinking. Killing children is pure emotional vengeance. Nobody made her kill children. She freely chose evil. The killing did nothing at all toward defense.
There is no ceasefire. There will not be any ceasefire.

The Palestinians are like crocodiles, the more you give them meat, they want more.
Ehud Barak (1942-02-12 age:76) Prime Minister of Israel 1999—2001, 2000-08-28, Reported in the Jerusalem Post 2000-08-30.
The Partition of Palestine is illegal. It will never be recognized… Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever.
~ Menachem Begin (1913-08-16 1992-03-09 age:78) Prime Minister of Israel 1977—1983, the day after the U.N. vote to partition Palestine.
This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy.
~ Golda Meir (1898-05-03 1978-12-03 age:80) Prime Minister of Israel 1969- 1974, Le Monde, 1971-10-15God had nothing to do with it, Golda. You used God to legitimise your land theft. Your arrogance is nauseating, expecting non-Jews to bow before your master race crap.
If I was an Arab leader I would never make [peace] with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country.

I would have joined a terrorist organization.
~ Ehud Barak (1942-02-12 age:76) Prime Minister of Israel 1999—2001, in response to Gideon Levy, a columnist for the Ha’aretz newspaper, when Barak was asked what he would have done if he had been born a Palestinian.
We should prepare to go over to the offensive. Our aim is to smash Lebanon, Trans-Jordan and Syria. The weak point is Lebanon, for the Moslem regime is artificial and easy for us to undermine. We shall establish a Christian state there and then we will smash the Arab Legion, eliminate Trans-Jordan; Syria will fall to us. We then bomb and move on and take Port Said, Alexandria and Sinai.
~ David Ben Gurion (1886-10-16 1973-12-01 age:87) Prime Minister of Israel 1948— 1963, 1948-05, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978.
If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?
~ David Ben Gurion (1886-10-16 1973-12-01 age:87) Prime Minister of Israel 1948— 1963
In strategic terms, the settlements (in Judea, Samaria and Gaza) are of no importance.
~ Ze’ev Binyamin (Benny) Begin (1943-03-01 age:75) son of the late Menahem Begin and a prominent voice in the Likud party writing in 1991. (Quoted in Findley, Deliberate Deceptions p 159) Paul Findley notes that Begin added that their importance was that they constitute an obstacle, an insurmountable obstacle to the establishment of an independent Arab State west of the river Jordan.
It would be better to drown these prisoners in the Dead Sea if possible, since that’s the lowest point in the world.
~ Avigdor Lieberman (1958-06-05 age:59) 2003-07-07
The establishment of such a school is a foul, disgraceful deed. You can’t mix pure and foul. They are a disease, a disaster, a devil. The Arabs are asses and the question must be asked, why did God did not create them walking on their fours? The answer is that they need to build and wash. They have no place in our school.
~ Rabbi David Bazri speaking about a proposed integrated school in Israel.
[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs.

Is Zionism racism? I would say yes. It’s a policy that to me looks like it has very many parallels with racism. The effect is the same. Whether you call it that or not is in a sense irrelevant.

One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail.

There is no such thing as a Palestinian people… It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn’t exist.

How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to.

We must expel Arabs and take their places.

Israel should have exploited the repression of the demonstrations in China, when world attention focused on that country, to carry out mass expulsions among the Arabs of the territories.
Binyamin Netanyahu (1949-10-21 age:68) Prime Minister of Israel then Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, speaking to students at Bar Ilan University, from the Israeli journal Hotam, 1989-11-24.
It must be clear that there is no room for both peoples in this country. If the Arabs leave the country, it will be broad and wide-open for us. If the Arabs stay, the country will remain narrow and miserable. The only solution is Israel without Arabs. There is no room for compromise on this point. The Zionist enterprise so far… has been fine and good in its own time and could do with land buying — but this will not bring about the State of Israel; that must come all at once, in the manner of a Salvation [this is the secret of the Messianic idea]; and there is no way besides transferring the Arabs from here to the neighboring countries, to transfer them all; except maybe for Bethlehem, Nazareth and Old Jerusalem, we must not leave a single village, not a single tribe. And only with such a transfer will the country be able to absorb millions of our brothers and the Jewish question shall be solved, once and for all.
~ Joseph Weitz (1890 1972 age:82) Directory of the Jewish National Land Fund, 1940-12-19, The Question of Palestine by Edward Said.
… we have no solution, that you shall continue to live like dogs and whoever wants to can leave — and we will see where this process leads? In five years we may have 200,000 less people — and that is a matter of enormous importance.
~ Moshe Dayan (1915-05-20 1981-10-16 age:66) Defense Minister of Israel 1967— 1974, encouraging the transfer of Gaza strip refugees to Jordan (from Noam Chomsky’s Deterring Democracy, 1992, p.434, quoted in Nur Masalha’s A Land Without A People, 1997 p.92).
It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonization or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands.
~ Yoram Bar Porath Yediot Aahronot, 1972-08-14, responding to public controversy regarding the Israeli evictions of Palestinians in Rafah, Gaza, in 1972. (Cited in Nur Masalha’s A land Without A People 1997, p98).
We walked outside, Ben Gurion (1886-10-16 1973-12-01 age:87) accompanying us. Allon repeated his question, What is to be done with the Palestinian population? Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said Drive them out!
~ Yitzhak Rabin (1922-03-01 1995-11-04 age:73) Prime Minister of Israel 1974— 1977 and 1992— 1995, leaked Rabin memoirs, published in the New York Times, 1979-10-23
There are some who believe that the non-Jewish population, even in a high percentage, within our borders will be more effectively under our surveillance; and there are some who believe the contrary, i.e., that it is easier to carry out surveillance over the activities of a neighbor than over those of a tenant. [I] tend to support the latter view and have an additional argument:…the need to sustain the character of the state which will henceforth be Jewish…with a non-Jewish minority limited to 15 percent. I had already reached this fundamental position as early as 1940 [and] it is entered in my diary.
~ Joseph Weitz (1890 1972 age:82) head of the Jewish Agency’s Colonization Department. From Israel: an Apartheid State by Uri Davis, p.5.
We shall try to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it any employment in our own country… expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.
~ Theodore Herzl (1860-05-02 1904-07-03 age:44) The founder of Zionism, (from Rafael Patai, Ed. The Complete Diaries of Theodore Herzl, Vol I)
In our country there is room only for the Jews. We shall say to the Arabs: Get out! If they don’t agree, if they resist, we shall drive them out by force.
~ Professor Ben-Zion Dinur (1884-01-02 1973-07-08 age:89) Israel’s First Minister of Education, 1954, from History of the Haganah
On the eve of yet another round of peace talks with US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has invited the leader of the Moledet Party to join his coalition government. The Moledet (Homeland) Party is not just another far-right Zionist grouping. Its founding principle, as stated in its charter, is the call to transfer Arabs out of Eretz Israel: [the land of Israel in Hebrew is Eretz Yisrael] The sure cure for the demographic ailment is the transfer of the Arabs to Arab countries as an aim of any negotiations and a way to solve the Israeli-Arab conflict over the land of Israel. By Arabs, the Modelet Party means not only the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza: its members also seek to cleanse Israel of its Palestinian Arab citizens. And by demographic ailment, the Modelet means not only the presence of Arabs in Israel’s midst, but also the troubling high birth rate of the Arab population.
~ Al-Ahram Weekly Online 1998-04-30 — 1998-05-06 Issue No.375
The Arabs will have to go, but one needs an opportune moment for making it happen, such as a war.

If we thought that instead of 200 Palestinian fatalities, 2,000 dead would put an end to the fighting at a stroke, we would use much more force…

We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.

If I’m sorry for anything, it is for not tearing the whole camp down… No one (in the Israeli army) expressed any reservations against doing it… I found joy with every house that came down… I have no mercy… I say if a man has done nothing, don’t touch him. A man who has done something, hang him, as far as I am concerned. Even a pregnant woman — shoot her without mercy, if she has a terrorist behind her. This is the way I thought in Jenin…To see that same event from other perspectives see: Jenin Jenin by Mohamed Bakri The Road to Jenin by French film maker Pierre Rehov All you can be sure of is at least some of the people involved are some of the most outrageous liars ever born.

One of the major problems with Israeli democracy is that it has no constitutional guarantees of human rights. To my knowledge it’s the only functioning democracy without such provision.

[Three quarters of a million young people who have served in the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) ] know that the task of the army is not only to defend the state in the battlefield against a foreign army, but to demolish the rights of innocent people just because they are Araboushim living in territories that God promised to us.
Yaram Peri in Davar, 1982-12-10. academic specialist on Israeli affairs. Araboushim is Israeli slang that is roughly equivalent to niggers or kikes.
Defending the occupation has done to the American Pro-Israel community, what living as an occupier has done to Israel — muddied both its moral compass and its rational self-interest compass.

I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him.

Even today I am willing to volunteer to do the dirty work for Israel, to kill as many Arabs as necessary, to deport them, to expel and burn them, to have everyone hate us, to pull the rug from underneath the feet of the Diaspora Jews, so that they will be forced to run to us crying. Even if it means blowing up one or two synagogues here and there, I don’t care.

We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel… Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours … When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do will be to scurry around like drugged roaches in a bottle.

Here lies the saint, Doctor Baruch Kapal Goldstein, blessed be the memory of the righteous and holy man, may the Lord revenge his blood, who devoted his soul for the Jews, Jewish religion and Jewish land. His hands are clean and his heart is clear. He was killed as a martyr of God on the 14th of Adar, Purim, in the year 5754.

As a doctor, he had been court-martialed for refusing to treat anyone who was not a Jew.
Israel should keep the Araboushim [derogatory slang for Arabs] on a short leash, so that they recognise a whip is over their head. As long as not too many people are being visibly killed, then Western humanists will accept it all peacefully and even ask What is so terrible?.
~ Boaz Evron Yediot Ahronot, 1982-12-02, Israeli writer and commentator.
Israel is working on a biological weapon that would harm Arabs but not Jews, according to Israeli military and western intelligence sources… In developing their ethno-bomb, Israeli scientists are trying to exploit medical advances by identifying genes carried by some Arabs, then create a genetically modified bacterium or virus. The intention is to use the ability of viruses and certain bacteria to alter the DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) inside their host’s living cells. The scientists are trying to engineer deadly micro-organisms that attack only those bearing the distinctive genes. The programme is based at the biological institute in Nes Tziyona, the main research facility for Israel’s clandestine arsenal of chemical and biological weapons. A scientist there said the task was hugely complicated because both Arabs and Jews are of Semitic origin. But he added: They have, however, succeeded in pinpointing a particular characteristic in the genetic profile of certain Arab communities, particularly the Iraqi people. The disease could be spread by spraying the organisms into the air or putting them in water supplies. The research mirrors biological studies conducted by South African scientists during the apartheid era and revealed in testimony before the truth commission. The idea of a Jewish state conducting such research has provoked outrage in some quarters because of parallels with the genetic experiments of Dr Josef Mengele, the Nazi scientist at Auschwitz.
~ Uzi Mahnaimi and Marie Colvin , The Sunday Times [London, 1998-11-15]
The bitter hatreds that now poison Middle Eastern politics are rooted in the real or perceived wrong of the setting up of a Jewish State in an Islamic region. In view of all that the Jews had been through, it must have seemed a fair and humane solution. Probably deep familiarity with the Old Testament had given the European and American decision-makers some sort of idea that this really was the ‘historic homeland’ of the Jews.
~ Dr. Richard Dawkins (1941-03-26 age:77)
Israelis assert a land claim on the promised land mentioned in their bible. It consists of Egypt east of the Nile, Iraq west of the Euphrates, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the northern part of Saudi Arabia and Israel. They based this claim on the fact they are one of 20 groups who historically held part of this region and on the religious belief they are God’s chosen people, superior to all others. There have been 13 groups who have held the territory now called Israel since. Oddly the Zionist Jews making the claim are Ashkenazi Jews who descended from Eastern Europeans, who converted to Judaism, not descendants of the original Sephardic Jews.
The invasion was what is technically called an aggressive war. These are capital war crimes both by the Nuremberg Principles and by the treaty a country signs when it joins the United Nations.
There is now an apartheid system. The west traditionally abhors apartheid, but in Israel, they pretend it does not exist.
The land claim is even more far fetched as me going back to Ireland selecting a house at random and demanding an eviction because one of my ancestors might at one time 300 years ago have lived there. It has zero legal or logical standing. Saddam’s claim on Kuwait was thousands of times more legitimate that this bogus nonsense.
I can understand Jews, like Nazis, blinding themselves to the immorality of their deeds, simply because they benefit so much by the wrongdoing, but what puzzles me is the way nearly everyone in the west goes along with this denial too. I could see the west supporting the right of Jews to remain in Palestine simply because there is no other logical place to put them, but we would not pretend the Jews were 100% angel and the Palestinians 100% devil.
Pope Urban II sent Christians off to kill everyone, Jew, Muslim and Christian living in Jerusalem in the Crusades. He was a bit like modern Zionists, imagining he had holy title to Jerusalem, even though Christians in the time of Jesus were a tiny minority, and Muslims had occupied it for hundreds of years.
~ Roedy (1948-02-04 age:70)
In 1946 the world’s nations signed a treaty freezing all the planet’s borders as part of the creation of the United Nations. That makes the Palestinians, who were holding the territory at the time, its legitimate owners today. Since every square inch of earth has been conquered and reconquered scores of times, how far back would you go to determine the legitimate owner? The only practical way out of the problem was to decide that the current owner in 1946 was henceforth the legitimate owner.
It would horrify modern Jews to realise their land claim over Palestine has even less legitimacy that Hitler’s land claim over Poland and the Sudetenland. Back in Hitler’s day, the game was might makes right. By the time of Israel’s birth in 1948, it was no longer legitimate to take other people’s lands by force. Britain and America egged the world’s Jews to invade Palestine, not because they supported Zionism, or respected their land claim, but because they hated Jews and wanted to encourage them to leave Britain and America. I recall as a boy, in 1954, my father’s outrage when the realtor tried to get him to sign an agreement never to sell our newly constructed house to Jews. I think, mainly because of extensive exposure through the entertainment industry, today Jews are familiar and comfortable, but it was not always that way.
This absurd land claim is the original source of all the violence in the region. Israel asserts title over this promised land area and the people who have been living there for centuries say nonsense, Jews don’t have legitimate title to even an acre, not even what the UN gave them unconstitutionally in 1947 for the racist motive of driving Jews from America and Europe. Israelis want to drive Arabs from the promised land and Arabs want to drive Jews out of it. Even back the then, U.N. called for a separate Palestinian and Jewish state. The Jews were keen on the idea. The Palestinians quite rightly were mightily pissed at half their territory being stolen from them. The Jews were improperly offered half the country and the greedy buggers took the whole thing. It would be wrong for the world to let them get away with this massive theft even 69 years later. There is no way peace can be achieved if the Jews get everything they want and the Palestinians nothing. The international community should not reward illegal aggression.
Lands originally granted to Israel by the UN. | Israel’s land claim as defined by Theodore Herzl, Zionism’s founder. |
We can never totally return to the indefensible pre-1967 borders, … We simply cannot afford to make Israel 14.48 km (9 miles) wide again at its center. We can’t allow the Palestinians to be a couple of [miles] from [Tel Aviv’s] Ben Gurion Airport in the age of shoulder-fire missiles with the capacity to shoot down jumbo jets. But that doesn’t mean we must remain in every corner of the West Bank or in Gaza, where fewer than 10,000 Jews, living next to 1.3 million Palestinians, have been protected by twice as many soldiers.

Jewish villages were built-in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built-in this country that did not have a former Arab population.

One of the chief tasks of any dialogue with the Gentile world is to prove that the distinction between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism is not a distinction at all. This is like claiming if you detest black murderers you are prejudiced against all blacks. It is even as absurd as saying if you oppose the Iraq war you hate all white people.
~ Abba Eban (1915-02-02 2002-11-27 age:87) Foreign Minister of Israel, 1966— 1974.
I collected these quotations widely quoted on the Internet. I have not verified the sources.
The Jews in Israel are a minority, but they hog 80% of the water. The Palestinians are among the most water-deprived people on earth. This is so much like apartheid in South Africa where the whites took all the best for themselves and imagined their stolen wealth made them morally superior.
The trebling of the population in this small and impoverished country, flowing with milk and honey but not with sufficient water, rich in rocks and sand dunes but poor in natural resources and vital raw materials, has been no easy task: Indeed, practical men, with their eyes fixed upon things as they are, regarded it as an empty and insubstantial utopian dream.Iraq has most of the water in the region. That is one of the reasons the USA is occupying it. Whoever controls the water controls the middle east. The Israelis then used a pretext for the war, the capture of two POWs (Prisoner Of Wars) on Lebanese soil (according to the world neutral press, on Israeli soil according to the US press) which the Israelis called kidnappings and proceeded to bomb Lebanon, targeting primarily civilians. Houses, churches, roads, bridges, hospitals, ambulances, fleeing car convoys, schools were are all destroyed. There is very little left standing. The Israelis spent on bombs. They primarily targeted homes, apartments, schools and hospitals in an attempt to kill as many children as possible. To make the deaths of the children more agonising, the Israelis used banned weapons, white phosphorus and cluster bombs. A rocket unit commander testified the IDF fired about 1,800 banned cluster bombs, containing over 1.2 million cluster bomblets. The cluster rounds which don’t detonate on impact, believed by the United Nations to be around 40% of those fired by the IDF in Lebanon, remain on the ground as unexploded munitions, effectively littering the landscape with thousands of land mines which will continue to claim victims long after the war has ended. Israel’s Lieutenant-General Dan Halutz, Israel’s chief of staff has ordered a full investigation into the use of cluster bombs.
~ David Ben-Gurion (1886-10-16 1973-12-01 age:87) Prime Minister of Israel, 1963-03-28
To ensure generations yet unborn would suffer with hideous birth defects, the Israelis also used DU (Depleted Uranium) which is contaminating Lebanon for all generations to come. Hizb’alla retaliated with its own terrorism, shooting rockets into Israel that killed 8 railway workers, a mother and her son and 52-year old man on a bicycle. The main effect of the rockets was to pin northern Israelis in bomb shelters without electricity or air conditioning. Here you see Israeli soldiers planting an Israeli flag on Lebanese soil in triumph.
On 2012-11-30 the United Nations voted overwhelmingly to grant Palestine Observer Statehood status. The USA, Canada and Israel voted against. Why are the US and Canada at odds with the rest of the world?
Israel has been stalling. They will continue to stall endlessly. Why? Stalling lets the Israelis nail down ever more territory. The Jews in response to the new status announced 3000 more illegal settlements.

The other questions that comes up, are why are Canada and the USA supporting apartheid in Israel? Why is the USA funding it to the tune of $4 billion a year. Why do Canada and the USA tolerate Israel having nukes and threatening to first strike on their neighbours? Why does the USA uses its UN veto to block every censure of Israel’s illegal activities?
For me the Jewish religion like all others is an incarnation of the most childish superstitions and the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong and with whose mentality I have a deep affinity have no different quality for me than all other people. As far as my experience goes, they are no better than other human groups, although they are protected from the worst cancers by a lack of power. Otherwise I cannot see anything chosen about them. Then they might be softened up to negotiate a settlement. It might be modeled on the land claims of the native people in Canada. Even hundreds of years after the Europeans invaded North America and started on a program of genocide, modern Canadians and Americans were still portraying their ancestors as 100% innocent victims and the indigenous people as insane savages. This is human nature to deny one’s evil, especially if one benefited financially from it. There was no progress until modern day Canadians started admitting the wrongdoing of their ancestors. This went a long way to easing tensions even though they did not give back all the land.
~ Albert Einstein (1879-03-14 1955-04-18 age:76) from a letter to Eric Gutkind, translated from German.
The Palestinians should get their own land, some political autonomy and at least token financial compensation for the land stolen. Perhaps even more important are the formal apologies. Then you might have a Truth and Reconciliation commission, much like South Africa to expose and apologise for the atrocities committed on both sides.
Consider the phases Canada went through. For the centuries the white people vilified the aboriginals. They never mentioned any evil deeds of the whites. They pretended that North America was empty, waiting for occupation. All attacks by the aboriginals on the whites were described as savage and irrational. The only good Injun is a dead Injun. The Jews in Israel are still in this vilifying-the-victim stage. The aboriginals were herded onto reservations and kept in poverty. Aboriginals did not have full citizenship. They were patronised and treated like children. The Jews treat the Palestinians even worse, micromanaging their lives almost like modern day slaves. Over time the full story of the disgusting theft of land came to light and the dirty deeds of Canada’s white invaders, such as deliberately spreading smallpox. That softened modern day Canadians up to making amends. The aboriginals only requested a token compensation for the original crime. Mostly what they wanted was a change in attitude. They wanted respect. Hopefully the same thing will happen to the Jews and Palestinians. Today when I go to a public gathering it is common for some aboriginal to stand up and say something like, We welcome you all to this traditional Songhees land. We acknowledge the injustice of our forefathers and the repercussions over time and that appears to be sufficient. It took Canada 400 years to begin to rectify old wrongs. Surely it should be possible for Israel to accelerate the process.
The alternative is escalating violence so that the Jews gradually leave. There are only 4 million of them. This group of fanatics hold the world nuclear hostage. It will be a Good Thing™ if they are disbanded. It would not be hard to find welcoming homes for them all over the globe. This is already happening gradually. Nobody in their right mind would want to live in a police state like Israel where their kids could be blown up any time they went outside.
How is this ever going to be resolved? I think it will require the nations of the world to gradually withdraw support from the Jewish side and help prop up the Palestinian side so there is more equality in power. The Jewish side must be pushed to formally acknowledge they invaded illegally and illegally stole Palestinian land. They must formally acknowledge they killed many more in revenge than were killed of their own. The Palestinian side must be pushed to acknowledge their attacks on civilians. Right now both sides falsely perceive themselves to be 100% innocent victims. Only then will the Jews be content with less than everything they conceitedly imagine their God bestowed on them. With the current extreme imbalance of power, there is no motivation for the Jewish side to settle. Then the states need to be split. Once this happens both sides will be immensely better off. They can direct all that money and energy spent killing each other on building their respective countries.

Former President Jimmy Carter explains what he figures is holding back peace in the middle east. He puts the blame of a minority of Israeli leaders who insist on occupying Palestinian lands, in violation of half a dozen treaties. He points out that ordinary Israeli citizens are not the problem. They want to negotiate a fair settlement. He suggests that Israel bombing 6000 sites in Lebanon for the kidnapping of two soldiers by a rogue group was excessive. Most Americans consider his comments extremely left wing, but that is because America as a country is right wing, where nearly all Americans hold views to the right of all people in other countries. Further Americans are extremely biased toward Israel because of the successful lobbying and propaganda efforts of AIPAC. Zionists sued Carter for $5,000,000 for not being sufficiently singing the praises of Israel’s behaviour.

Ilan Pappé uses recently declassified archival sources to investigate the fate suffered by the indigenous population of 1940s Palestine at the hands of the Zionist political and military leadership, whose actions led to the mass deportation of over a million Palestinians from their cities and villages, over 400 villages wiped from the map and hundreds of civilians dead. Pappé argues persuasively, that the continued denial of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948 and the consequent dispossession of a million native Palestinians from their homeland represents a gross injustice that requires redress.

The Doomsday Code: the nutty apocalypse religious beliefs believed by 59% of Americans that are driving the USA to create Armageddon (nuclear war) on purpose.
This nutty Rapture cult infects the Bush White House. It is what drives the Christian Right political and financial support of Israel’s takeover of the middle east and drive to destroy third holiest Muslim Dome of The Rock mosque to rebuild a Jewish temple. Oddly, their motive is that they believe once it is destroyed and a Jewish temple built on the same spot, the world will end. Even if they were correct, they have no business doing that. They could be right. Such an act of vandalism would be such an affront to Islam, the Muslims might unleash a nuclear or biological attack that would escalate to WW III.

The reason peace in Israel has been so hard to achieve is each group has been indoctrinated with a completely different set of facts.
The Israelis are fully aware of every bombing attack on them by the Palestinians, but are completely unaware of Israeli attacks on Palestinians. They see Palestinians as madmen, attacking them for no reason. (I discovered this talking to an Israeli Jewish friend, when I spent 2 weeks talking him out of his extreme hatred of Palestinians.) The Israelis believe they have legitimate title to Palestine and merely evicted Arab squatters. The Israelis see Palestinians who resist them as terrorists. Israelis deny there is any sort of apartheid system, just necessary security to protect them from the mad dog Palestinians.
On the other hand, the Palestinians see the Israelis as crazy Zionists who invaded in 1948 and then evicted the Palestinians from their ancestral lands and set up a harsh apartheid system where they were locked down 1 day in 3 unable to earn a living. The Zionist occupiers kill with helicopters and bulldozers. The brave Palestinians resist with great restraint, killing only one Jew for every 28 Palestinians killed. This was an illegal invasion. Surrender to such Zionist criminals would be craven.
Each side believes itself to be faultless and the other side the spawn of Satan. Negotiation is bound to fail in such a situation. The solution is for the USA or some other powerful country two dress down both sides for their bad behaviour and make sure everyone hears it and the evidence to back up the charges. For example, but sides brutally take out their hatred of each other on innocent children. Only once the pride of both sides has been shamed can they possibly begin to think about a practical end to hostilities.
The problem is the USA always excuses or ignores Israeli bad behaviour and soundly condemns Palestinian violence. A peace broker has to project impartiality. The USA refuses to do so. It even funds Israel’s apartheid system to the tune of $4 billion a year. This is illegal since by US law the USA cannot give aid to countries with covert nuclear programs. Here we are 69 years and 11 months later, with the USA doing the same thing over and over insanely expecting a different result. Surely American presidents realise they are just spinning their wheels. Why are they being so stupid? The answer is AIPAC, the powerful pro-Israel lobby in the USA. It successfully threatens any politician who is not sufficiently deferential to Israel and who fails to sing its praises sufficiently loudly and to condemn the wicked terrorists — the Palestinians. Oddly, the American constitution permits foreign countries to control American foreign policy through such lobbies. How ironic, the pro-Israel lobby is a root cause of the misery in Israel.
Of lesser importance, ask your federal politicians to rethink the official terrorist organisation status of Hizb’alla. It is a political party that holds seats in the Lebanese parliament. It was originally formed to oust the Israelis who occupied Lebanon for two decades starting in 1982. They primarily fought Israeli soldiers, so are properly a resistance movement not a terrorist organisation. Terrorists are people who target civilians. With that change in status, it will again be legal to speak out in support of Hizb’alla ’s cause. The B’nai Brith are intimidating people such as myself with legal prosecution for championing Hizb’alla’s case.

Palestinian terrorist confronts Israeli tank with rock.
Of course, the Jews want a homeland, but invading and killing and setting up an apartheid scheme is not a legitimate way to get one. Historically Muslims and Jews have managed to share territories with minimal conflict. Perhaps studying why people in past succeeded where we fail might bring forth a solution.
Israel and the USA are the two most odious nations on earth because not only do they ruthlessly oppress others, they lie even to themselves that they are angels. Israel has no legal right to exist. The UN acted unconstitutionally out of racist motives to find a way to effectively expel Jews from Britain and America. Israel like a festering pimple on the planet. I hope eventually the USA will become too weak to support it and it will be disbanded and the Jews will be reintegrated all over the earth. It amazing how much misery such a tiny band of fanatics can inflict. Israel shames the entire Jewish people because Israelis have behaved like their Nazi oppressors.
Advanced parasites secrete hormones that control the behaviour of the host to cause it to act in ways detrimental to itself, but beneficial to the parasite. For example Dicrocoelium dendriticum, parasites of ants, manipulate the ants to climb to the tip of grass blades and wait there to be eaten by cows, the next host in the chain. Israel is just such a parasite on the USA, that has mastered the lobby mechanism to control its much larger host. The United States is fighting two wars in the middle east where Israel is the main beneficiary. Israel will get almost free oil and water if the USA prevails.
In addition, even though Israel runs a surplus, it gets most of America’s foreign aid. Israel has a way of warping the common sense of America. It is a bit like giving a buck for a coffee to a bum who owns a Rolls Royce. I recall a Sherlock Holmes episode about a very rich man who begged for a living, quoting poetry. That is a great metaphor for Israel’s ability to bend the American political ear.
Some have suggested that Israel is becoming obsolete. It is now safe for Jews to live pretty well anywhere in the western world. They don’t need a special homeland any more. Jews will soon be a minority in Israel and their apartheid system will collapse for the same reason it collapsed in South Africa, probably much more violently. Further, Israel is a running sore that won’t heal. The ongoing tensions created on 1948-05-14 by illegally occupying Palestine encourage terrorism and possibly even nuclear war. This is no fun for either Jew or Palestinian. Israel sponges off the USA, absorbing most of its foreign aid. The world is taking too much trouble and risk for the benefit of group of only 4 million Jews. That is only 1/5 the size of New York city. Maybe it is time to gradually wind the experiment down and hand it back to the Palestinians. Jews will be much safer spread all over the planet that all in one basket where a few nukes could kill them all in a few seconds. With sufficient funding, Jews could relocate near each other and bring the culture of Israel to be enjoyed throughout the world. Given the lineups in all the Jewish restaurants and delis I have been to, Canada will welcome large numbers of emigrées. Come live where you are welcome, not where your neighbours plot to kill you.
It is a capital war crime to aid and abet the invasion or occupation of a foreign country in an aggressive war, (a war in which your side attacks first unprovoked.) That makes every Jew in Israel a capital criminal. It is highly unlikely they will ever be tried, much less executed, but they would be if the same law applied to hang all the Nazi at the end of WWII (World War II) were applied to the Jews in Israel too. If Jews were aware of that, they might have a tad more humility about their superiority over the Palestinians.
Clearly, helping the Israelis to increase their apartheid system to oppress the Palestinians has not worked. We have had continuous war. It is time to try something else.
