Documents how governments, particularly the Bush Administration, use disasters like war and hurricanes as an excuse to allow large corporations to steal from the people. She documents how they use torture and other obscene methods. She traces the evil back to the doctrines of economist Milton Friedman. He took capitalism to a preposterous extreme. Surprisingly he is up there with Bush, Hitler and Pol Pot in the amount of human misery he created. It is a hard book to read because it is about evil, evil on an unimaginably large scale. Even a paragraph will create nausea. Klein is married to Avi Lewis national broadcaster and son of David Lewis and former head of the New Democratic Party in Canada.
