Here is an email I received in response to one of my essays.
PLease read the whole thing.
I am a 15 year old young lady.I am an Army cadet. I was born and raised into a military family. My father and my cousin have both gone over to iraq. In fact my cousin is there now.
I want to become a United states paratrooper. in the US Army. I want to jump out of a plane behind enemy lines. Nobody told me I had to do this, or even gave me options about this, in fact my parents never even told me about this. I decided that I wanted to do this, when I found out what a paratrooper was, age 5.
If I end up going to war and get blown up and have to amputate my arms and legs, or my face is blown off, or if even I die. I know I died for my country, I know I died for the people like you putting that stupid crap on your websites. I know my family would be proud of me. Yes war is hell and it is not something everyone likes to see. But lets face it, if the men and women over in Iraq, whether they are army, marines, air force, navy or whatever, do you think that we would even be here today? Do you think that we would be able to post websites, or email others, or have children, or even grow up?
i am not just talking about the iraqi war. i am talking about all the wars in the past.
Pearl Harbor, don’t you think if we would have just sat there and done nothing, that the japs would have come back and done it again? What about Sept. 11? Don’t you think that if would have just ignored it that, they would have come back and done it again?
The Iraq war is not WWII (World War II). America was defending itself in WWII. This time the USA was the aggressor. It attacked under false pretences. The UN (United Nations) has declared the invasion illegal. You are stupid, vicious and clueless! The Iraq war has absolutely nothing to do with 2001-09-11. Even Bush admits that:
We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the September 11th attacks.

You say that the soldiers are wrong for what they are doing. But those men and women fight and get blown up and die for what they feel is right.
It does not matter what you feel is right. what matters is what is right. If you are going to go murdering people, it behooves you to do some thorough research to make sure those murders are justified. From your error confusing Iraq and 2001-09-11, it is clear you have done absolutely no study at all. You are a stupid little hot head, looking for any excuse to satisfy your blood lust.
You don’t have to agree with them, but you don’t have to put them down. It doesn’t help war, it causes stress and fear. And fear is contagous in war because if one soldier has it, then they all get it.
Why not put them down? They are stupid asses, hired thugs murdering for no justifiable reason at all.
You talking bad about the military and putting them down doesn’t make the war go by faster.
You are only 15. You don’t remember how protest helped end the Vet Nam war.
I know this probably will upset you, but it really upset me, no it down right pissed me off. I know that this will have no effcet on you, but I just had to state my opinion.

The only reason for your murderous desires is that it is a family tradition. This implies you are also likely too stupid to remember to pull the rip cord on your first jump into Iraq. The world will be well rid of someone as mindlessly evil as you.
