target audience
The target audience for the Java and Internet glossary is newbies, particularly ones without money to buy textbooks, particularly in the third world. I attempt to explain just the most important things you need to get started. I don’t want to overwhelm with detail. I point you to where you can find the details later. I gives rules of thumb, without the exceptions. I try to give you intuitive mental models, which are not necessarily accurate, on which to hang the details.
