Microsoft is sometimes used cheekily as a verb. It refers to claiming to have invented technology that was developed long before by others.

Microsoft runs a free web-mail service called Hotmail. They also have an instant messaging service called MSN (Microsoft Network).

Microsoft has gall to charge hundreds of dollars for its office suite that other give away free, then design new versions of the operating system not to run their flagship product so you have to buy it all over just to get back to where you started. Even their standalone mail program, Outlook, they want $180.00 CAD for.

Here is a note I sent to them

I just wanted to let you know why I refuse to buy Office or Outlook 2010. We bought Office 2000. It was adequate for our needs. Then you deliberately screwed up Windows 7 so that it would stop working, then you asked astronomical prices for the new versions. Why would I buy them knowing you at any second could stop them from working too? Manufacturers of my toaster don’t sneak in and smash it just to induce me to buy another. Further, you deliberately make it difficult for us to share documents with people who bought upgrades.

You have also maliciously stopped other perfectly decent hardware and software from working.

You are so greedy that you deliberately screw your existing customers. Well screw you!

Dear clerk. Where your are morals that you work for such a crooked company?
