plasma display
A way of manufacturing large flat colour displays. They currently cost in the order of $20,000.00 CAD . They can be 1.27 metres (4.17 ft) wide, with 1365 × 768 pixels, but are only 5.08 cm (2 in) thick. The colour is stunningly bright, clear and crisp. Eventually this technology will replace CRTs. It is essentially a giant array of tiny flourescent lights.
