A single board computer with an Arm 700 Mhz RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) 1.21 watt processor (equivalent to Apple iPad 3). The basic A model comes with 256 MB of RAM (Random Access Memory). The slightly more expensive B model comes with 512 MB of RAM. Typically you add an 8 gigabyte SSD (Solid State Disk) card. It comes with audio and video built-in. The B model has an Ethernet port. You need to add your own power supply and hard disk. It runs Debian Linux. It is for students to inexpensively learn about computer hardware or for people to access computer power inexpensively. It currently does not run Java. It has parallel and serial ports. It runs various flavours of Unix.
