You might think about the simplest coding task in the world would be to compute the average of two positive integers, rounded down to the nearest integer.
The catch is as you can see from the program, some very simple code to compute the avarage sometimes fails.

Alternates

Mathematicians have come up with a number of ways of computing the average of a list of numbers besides adding them up and dividing by the number of elements. Here is code to compute some of the variants:
