BufferedImage: A subclass of Image that can be easily read and written to disk in "gif", "png" and "jpeg" formats s using the ImageIO class. You convert ordinary Images to BufferedImages by creating a new BufferedImage, the creating Graphics context, then drawing on it, perhaps using AffineTransform.
