A company that makes high-quality address books, appointment calendars both paper and electronic in an astounding variety. Their electronic version automatically dials the phone for you. However, it is not smart enough to know when the call is local and when long distance. The word day-timer is often used generically to refer to any appointment managing software. The proper generic term is PIM, Personal Information Manager.
