ecard

An electronic greeting card, often animated with music you send via email. The safer type give a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) to pick up the card. The dangerous type enclose an executable file, which potentially could contain a virus or trojan. Ecards have been abused so badly by people deliberately spreading viruses, in general, you should just ignore them.

Beware of mycardmaker.com. They trick you into preparing a birthday card and giving them your email address before telling you the cards are far from free.

Beware of any card making website that asks you to install software on your machine.
