Incentive Lettermail
Canada Post’s bulk mail rates that apply if you follow special rules, including sorting the mail in a special order.

For bulk mail, the postal code is augmented with a DMC (Delivery Mode Code), e.g. H 12(M), which helps direct blocks of mail to the correct DCF (Delivery Centre Facility). You sort by:

Sort Key
DMC
FSA
LDU
street name
street type
street direction
civic number
suite number
Further, you must bundle and bag the letters in magic groupings to speed physical delivery. The rules are so complex, the bundle and bag labels are nearly always created with a proprietary computer program.
