In Design
Adobe’s Pagemaker-like product for doing magazine layouts. It can import PDF (Portable Document Format) documents, and files from Quark Express, MS Word, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc. Unfortunately, changes you make to those imported documents are not reflected back in the originals. You have to do your editing in the original program. If you ever edit within In Design, that breaks the link with the original document, and further changes to the original document will no longer be reflected in the In Design composite. In Design has sophisticated hyphenation and optically true right margins where the small characters and slightly futher right than the big ones. It has optical kerning that works on any combination of fonts and font sizes. It has transparency so that when you overlay a picture of a person over an illustration, you can still see every hair. $700.00 USD
