JLAN : Java Glossary

Alfresco JLAN
Alfresco’s Java-based virtual file system to make a network of remote computers look like a shared LAN (Local Area Network) drive to a Java app. It has pure Java implementations of CIFS (Common Internet File System), NFS (Novell File System) and FTP (File Transfer Protocol) servers, with optional JNI (Java Native Interface) code on Windows to allow the Alfresco JLAN server to run alongside the Windows file server. Has a free open-source Labs version and a commercial enterprise system.
