Despite what the WikiPedia says, UPnP Universal Plug & Play (as distinct from Plug & Play). is handled by the UPnP Forum, not the OSGi.
Most notably, they have produced package standards for managing large numbers of jars from different vendors, keeping track of which versions are present and which are compatible with each other. For some reason, they call jars bundles rather than jars. Eclipse uses this standard to keep track of its hundreds of jars and plugins. Knoplerfish is an implementation.
