pretty-printer
a program that reformats Java source to standard indentations and prints it. It may also use colour, bold, italics or type faces to highlight syntactic elements. A beautifier, in contrast, outputs tidied Java source, which cannot currently contain any rich text elements. Google Code Prettify uses a bizarre technique. It uses JavaScript to embed CSS-style markup in your listings embedded in your webpages after the client loads them. The advantage is you don’t need to do any preparation other than embed the code in <pre> tags.
