A feature to look for is a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) version of the program that can be synched with the desktop version.
One major weakness of such programs is they cannot warn you of a coming appointment unless they are running. They
properly should have a tiny component that runs all the time in the background taking up almost no RAM (Random Access Memory) or CPU (Central Processing Unit)
cycles, or should use OS (Operating System) facilities to wake them up.
