wild Applet : Java Glossary

wild Applet
An Applet intended to be run by the general public without any special preparation such as installing a certificate or policy file (such as C:\WinNT\Profiles\username\policy.java). An Applet you might just stumble across in your web browsing. You don’t know much about the author. The Applet might be signed, self-signed or unsigned. If there are any security decisions to me made, the browser asks the end user for permission each time the Applet is run, using technobabble.
