Windows ME: Sometimes called Windows-Millennium. Microsoft’s successor to Windows 98 designed for home use. It is designed for new hardware only. It has protection for system files and a movie maker. It has improved menus. I found it about half the speed of NT and quite a bit buggier. It does not run Netscape. It has some infuriating features to make it impossible to delete Microsoft’s ISP access.
Windows ME is considered MS’s worst edition of Windows and PC World rated it the 4th worst technical product of all time.
