fonts legible fonts

Sometimes it does not matter how beautiful a font is, you just want it legible. Each glyph must be distinctly different so you cannot confuse them. E.g. ,. uv 68 0Oo Il|! ´'`. Programmers also need this attribute, but they normally want only monospaced fonts. Legible fonts can be proportional.

You can check out an installed font with FontShower or Unicode to see more precisely which glyphs it supports and what they look like. If you don’t own the font yet, you can copy/paste the obscure characters from a page like the htmlentities page into the sample text field of the font vendor’s web page.
