| Control Room is a documentary looking at the Iraq war from the point of view of the people working at Al Jazeera satellite TV network in Kuwait and to a lesser extent from the Iraqi man in the street. Al Jazeera is the most popular Arab channel. It is banned in two Arab countries for being critical of their regimes. You can see what lying hypocrites Bush and the American military are. The documentary just puts the camera on the US media representatives and lets them spout Bushian bullshit which has all been since proven lies, all without editorial comment. | |||||||||||||||||

The Americans died for their stupidity. They had no business being in Iraq and they seemed to be utterly unaware of that. They were utterly unaware of how they were so intensely hated or why they were so justifiably hated.
You see the preparations of the suicide bomber and his calm resolution to free his country of the infidels who defile his religion and commit every manner of atrocity. You see his friends hugging him one last goodbye. It is a solemn event.
The carnage is such unnecessary misery created by people thousands of miles away, completely oblivious and impervious to the suffering on both sides.
There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on their face.
He [Bush] has been here.
Brothers lie in shallow graves.
Fathers lost without a trace.
A nation blind to their disgrace,
Since he’s been here.
And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.
Houses burnt beyond repair.
The smell of death is in the air.
A woman weeping in despair says,
He has been here.
Tracer lighting up the sky.
It’s another families’ turn to die.
A child afraid to even cry out says,
He has been here.
And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.
There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks the question why,
He has been here.
Old men kneel and accept their fate.
Wives and daughters cut and raped.
A generation drenched in hate.
Yes, he has been here.
And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.
